bio

Sarah Borruso is an interdisciplinary artist with an expansive background in writing, music, and fashion design. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Berkeley, and an Associate in Applied Science degree in fashion design from Parsons School of Design. As a journalist and art critic, she has written about artists and exhibitions for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Wired magazine and HotWired.com. She also founded and designed the award-winning clothing line Stars + Ravens, and formed the band The Glassines as the singer-songwriter. Sarah’s interdisciplinary practice — including sculpture, installation, and video — is a synthesis of these varied experiences. Her work has been shown at Artists’ Television Access, Root Division, Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture, Nordic Heritage Museum, and The Lab, among other venues. She lives and works in San Francisco.
